Ruminations XI

Robin’s eggs (the candy): You can’t put one of those in your mouth without immediately wanting to crunch it.  Which is tasty, but then it’s gone.  They last a lot longer if you don’t crunch them.  A microcosm of life’s dilemmas, surely.

Next person who says “I don’t edit Wikipedia because it’s too biased” gets smacked.  That is all.

How Atlas Shrugged should have ended: All the rich elites who think that civilization would collapse without them leave.  Then their roles get filled with all the equally talented, but less self-promoting/well-connected/rich/lucky people, and life goes on happily.

Am I the only one who thinks the Rhodesian Ridgeback (pictured) sounds like a Harry Potter dragon?

    So the wiki article link states “In 1877 Reverend Helm introduced two Ridgebacks into Rhodesia where big game hunters found them outstanding in the sport of hunting lions on horseback.” I’d love to see these dogs actually hunting lions while on horseback. Quite a spectacle!
